VCAT can review certain decisions made by the Head of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986.
VCAT has a limited power to review certain decisions made by the Chief Health Officer, the Secretary to the Department of Health and Human Services, and local councils under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008.
VCAT can review certain decisions of the Victorian Racing Tribunal (VRT), Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Boards and a controlling body or racing club under the Racing Act 1958.
